Coal was brought

30 thousand tons of coal were brought to the Kaliningrad region by rail. Another 15 wagons are on the way and 25 are being loaded. In total, during January 2022, they promise to supply 140 wagons of solid fuel to the region. The authorities assure that this volume will be enough for both the population and heat supply organizations.

The most protected area

Experts called the Kaliningrad region one of the most protected areas in the world with military installations. Among the experts' arguments is the fact that the headquarters of the Baltic Fleet is located in Kaliningrad, as well as "an impressive interspecific military grouping." In particular, Iskander missile systems are deployed here, in the zone of destruction of which are European NATO bases and American missile defense facilities.

Demand for foreign cars

Kaliningrad has become a leader in RUSSIA in terms of growth in demand for used foreign cars. According to the study, from January to October 2021, the share of demand for used foreign cars in the region was 97.6%. The most popular cars in the region were Japanese and German brands.

More "Corsairs"

Three new low-floor Corsair trams were delivered to Kaliningrad from St. Petersburg. Since December, the city has received half of the rolling stock purchased on lease.

Train Kaliningrad-St. Petersburg

From January 10, 2022, an additional train No. 80 has been assigned from Kaliningrad to St. Petersburg. it will depart from the South Station at 16:03 local time and arrive in St. Petersburg on January 11 at 20:11 Moscow time.
