Bashkiria will receive 397 million for the salaries of medical workers

Bashkiria will receive 397 million rubles for the salaries of doctors and nurses in 2022. Funds will be sent from the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund. In total, the regions are provided with 17.3 billion rubles for these purposes. The distribution of transfers between the subjects was approved by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The largest funding was allocated to St. Petersburg - 1.2 billion rubles. The least funds will be sent to Mordovia (9.5 million rubles) and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (9.1 million). 3.5 billion rubles of the total amount will remain in the undistributed reserve - in case of insufficient interbudgetary transfers, it will be used to finance the territorial funds of compulsory medical insurance.

The funds were distributed among the regions taking into account the forecast of the annual increase in the number of medical workers.

“We expect that many new employees, in-demand specialists, will come to work in our medical institutions this year. The pandemic has once again proved that the work of doctors and nurses is one of the most significant,” Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to him, the number of doctors this year will increase by 11 thousand, and mid-level HEALTH workers - by 13.5 thousand. The HEAD of the Cabinet of Ministers instructed the regional authorities to control the timely transfer of salaries to medical workers.
