Brest Region Opens Five New Markets for Export of Food Products and Agricultural Raw Materials

11 April, Ivatsevichi. Brest Region has opened five new markets for the EXPORT of food products and agricultural raw materials. This was announced by Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Petr Parkhomchik at the ceremony honoring the winners of the regional competition for achieving high indicators in livestock production, BELTA reports.Brest Region exports food products and agricultural raw materials to 48 countries. Recently, the region has begun deliveries to five new markets: Denmark, Mauritania, Slovakia, Bahrain, and Nigeria. "We continue to work on diversifying our exports. Everything we produce finds its end consumer. We have very serious commitments. We supply two megacities with our dairy and MEAT products. These are Moscow and St. Petersburg . We have very good relations with the regions with which Brest Region cooperates. We try to provide everyone with the quality products that have become popular in the Russian Federation. Today, we have no problems with selling our products," said Petr Parkhomchik. He emphasized that market diversification is one of the most important tasks. "That's why we are looking for new markets: in Europe, on the African continent. We have started supplying products to Nigeria. We will soon have a meeting with the President of Zimbabwe. I think we will also find growth points that will allow us to supply our products," noted the Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee. "The final product comes out of the Brest Region with high added value. These are cheeses , andcottage cheese , andsour cream , butter , and meat products. As for last year, five new markets appeared on the list. I am sure that it will expand. I emphasize that there are more people willing to buy good quality products than you can even imagine, but we maintain our commitments. We must feed those who are already accustomed and consume our products in large quantities," concluded Petr Parkhomchik.
