August 26, Minsk . The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade identified pricing law violations among 149 economic entities in January-July 2025, the Ministry's press service told BelTA.

"In January-July 2025, the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade identified pricing violations among 149 economic entities. Forty-six orders were issued to correct the violations, and administrative and preventive measures were applied to 242 guilty parties. Fines for the administrative cases reviewed amounted to more than Br255,000 (including those based on materials from previous years)," the Ministry reported.

Belarus has a price regulation system for goods across virtually the entire consumer basket—both domestic and imported—in accordance with Government Resolution No. 713 of October 19, 2022. The system requires producers to coordinate selling prices with government agencies (organizations), regional executive committees, and the Minsk City Executive Committee; and for importers and retailers, maximum markups are set, regardless of the number of intermediaries involved. Barter transactions are also restricted (such transactions are subject to approval by government agencies), and a procedure for paying bonuses and other rewards for promoting goods in trade is defined when supplying goods, regardless of country of origin. The system also requires approval of increases in selling prices for milk and dairy products, butter , meat and meat products, confectionery, as well as prices for raw milk, pigs, and cattle supplied for processing, with the Commission on State Regulation of Pricing under the Council of Ministers.

In Belarus, the opportunity to receive social discounts on certain groups of socially significant goods has been extended for pensioners, disabled persons, parents (legal representatives) raising a disabled child under 18 years of age, large families, and low-income groups, in accordance with legislation.
