In particular, the content of toxic elements (cadmium, arsenic, lead, mercury) and organochlorine compounds (α-, β-, γ-isomers of hexachlorocyclohexane, as well as dichlorodiphenyltrichloromethylmethane and its metabolites) was studied. No excesses were recorded for any indicator.

The studies were carried out in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of October 31, 2022 N 1940 “On approval of requirements for the circulation of animal by-products”, which establishes mandatory requirements for the handling of animal by-products during storage, processing, processing, transportation, sale and use in agricultural production.

Livestock by-products can pose a threat to the environment because they accumulate heavy metals, pesticides, nitrates and dangerous disease agents. The use of low-quality livestock by-products as fertilizers leads to contamination of soil, groundwater and reservoirs, which subsequently negatively affects the quality of food produced and human health .

The Crimean testing laboratory of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "ARRIAH" actively participates in various scientific and research projects aimed at improving methods for quality control of livestock by-products. The laboratory is equipped with modern equipment and uses advanced analysis methods, which ensures high accuracy and reliability of research results. Laboratory specialists regularly undergo training and advanced training, which confirms their high professionalism and competence in the field of chemical and toxicological research.
