In the Voronezh Region, the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration is participating in raids to monitor the wild boar population density

it should be noted that according to the winter route census, as of April 1, 2024, there were 571 wild boars in the region, including 555 individuals in designated areas and 16 individuals in public areas. The actual density of wild boars in the Voronezh Region was 0.11 individuals per thousand hectares, which does not exceed the recommended density of the Ministry of Natural Resources of RUSSIA, which is 0.25 individuals per thousand hectares. According to the winter census, 40 wild boars were identified in specially protected natural areas of federal significance (nature reserves).

In order to strengthen interdepartmental cooperation with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Forestry of the Voronezh Region, operational meetings were held to consider issues of preventing the spread of especially dangerous diseases among hunting resources, transferring wild boar in hunting grounds to alternative types of hunting resources, as well as the participation of the Department's employees in the registration of wild boar population.
