To this end, GOOD Meat, a division of Eat Just Inc. for the production of cultured meat, has signed an exclusive multi-year agreement with ABEC, which has a long history of innovation in biotech equipment.

The basis of the new GOOD Meat enterprise will be ten bioreactors with a capacity of 250,000 liters. When the complex is fully operational, it will produce up to 13 million kg of laboratory meat annually without the need for slaughter.

Initially, the company is going to produce "chicken" and "beef". GOOD Meat said the planned capacity will allow it to ship to millions of customers across the United States.

GOOD Meat is currently working with the Food and Drug Administration and the USDA to regulate the path to market readiness. ABEC is designing and manufacturing bioreactors for GOOD Meat's headquarters in Alameda, California, which is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2022, and for the facility in Singapore, which is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2023.

As a reminder, GOOD Meat is currently the only cultured meat producer in the world that has received regulatory approval.
