Stavropol Territory: boom in lamb exports to Iran and the UAE

In recent years, lamb exports from the Stavropol Territory have been growing rapidly, and the data for the current year are striking in their figures. According to information from the press service of the North Caucasus Interregional Directorate of ROSSELKHOZNADZOR , in the first five months of this year alone, a record amount of 1,377 tons of lamb was sent to Iran. This impressive number indicates a significant increase in EXPORT volume by 1.7 times compared to the same period of the previous year.

The export of lamb from the Stavropol Territory is not limited only to Iran. 2023 also saw significant volumes of halal lamb shipped to the United Arab Emirates, highlighting the growing interest in quality products from the region. The total volume of supplies to these countries amounted to 801,844 tons, which is an important indicator of the successful development of the MEAT industry in the region.

One of the key reasons for the success of Stavropol lamb on the international market is strict product quality control. Before sending each batch, specialists from subordinate laboratories conduct a thorough examination of samples to ensure that the products fully comply with the requirements of importing countries. This approach to quality control allows us to confidently compete in the global market and win the trust of partners.

The export of lamb from the Stavropol Territory not only helps to increase production volumes and develop the local economy, but also helps to strengthen international trade relations and promote Russian products on the world stage. The growing interest in Stavropol lamb confirms its high quality and competitiveness in the global meat market.
