Poultry MEAT production in the Rostov region in January-April 2022 increased by 5.5 times, cereals - by 2 times, beef - by 1.8 times, said the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the region Konstantin Rachalovsky during a meeting of the headquarters to increase the sustainability of the economy under sanctions on Tuesday.
"441 million rubles have already been allocated to support livestock farms (since the beginning of the year - IF). In animal husbandry, meat production is now increasing - by 32% and eggs - by 30%," said Konstantin Rachalovsky.
He also noted that in connection with the sanctions due to the increase in prices for the purchase of feed and additives, financial support from the government is especially necessary for livestock breeders. 305 million rubles of subsidies were allocated to enterprises for these purposes.
Food industry enterprises, in turn, work stably: the volumes of meat, MILK, grain and oilseeds processing have increased.
The minister noted that cooperation between agricultural producers and processors is also strengthening in the region.
