Buryatia resumes cattle exports to Uzbekistan

As a result of the negotiations, it was decided to create a joint working group to develop the logistics and veterinary-sanitary requirements necessary for the entry of Buryat products into the Uzbek market. Darmaev noted that Uzbekistan is a promising market for local farmers, opening up new opportunities for farmers and strengthening economic ties between the regions.

In addition, during the discussion, the possibility of supplying Uzbek vegetables to Buryatia and other regions of the Far East was considered. In particular, it is planned to create a wholesale distribution center for fruit and vegetable products from Uzbekistan, which will allow for a stable supply of goods, reduce logistics costs and create a sustainable scheme of mutual supplies.

The parties also expressed interest in educational cooperation, with Uzbekistan ready to accept students and specialists from Buryatia in agricultural universities with a strong scientific base. Aslam Akbarov emphasized that the creation of a working group is an important step towards a long-term partnership that is beneficial for farmers in both countries.
