Kuzbass agricultural producers continue to work as part of a forage harvesting campaign. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Kuzbass, as of August 10, 94.9 thousand hectares of grass stand were mowed. More than 82 thousand tons of hay were harvested (76% of the plan), 224 thousand tons of haylage were laid (70.6% of the plan). Thus, 14.6 centners of fodder units of coarse and succulent fodder were prepared for one conditional HEAD.
“It is very important that the forage harvesting campaign in the region is successful, without failures. In conditions when winter lasts up to six months, timely preparation becomes vital. We work to ensure that the main food products of local production - MILK , MEAT, eggs - are on the shelves of stores all year round. Feed preparation is part of this great work,” comments Denis Ilyin, Deputy Chairman of the Government for the agro-industrial complex.
According to the plan, for one conditional head, it is necessary to procure at least 25 centners of feed units of coarse and succulent feed. For this, within the framework of the forage harvesting campaign, according to preliminary plans, it is necessary to prepare 108 thousand tons of hay, 317 thousand tons of haylage, 98 thousand tons of silage.
