In two weeks, residents of Tatarstan will be able to use public transport only if they have a QR code or a certificate of medical exemption from vaccination. This was stated by the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov, according to the website of the HEAD of the region.

“A huge number of people address me with complaints about the violation of the mask regime in public transport. There are a lot of people there, you can't seat them. You pose a threat to another person,” Minnikhanov noted. This is how he explained the decision to enter QR codes.

In two weeks, the authorities of the republic will temporarily block transport cards for people over 60 who do not have a QR code or a medical exemption. In addition, the President recommended extending the requirement for QR codes to visit educational institutions by citizens over 18 years of age.
