The approval process for the Russian Sputnik V vaccine by the World HEALTH Organization (WHO) will soon be completed, Hans Kluge, head of the organization's Regional Office for Europe, said.
In an interview with TASS, he said that the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) in October signed all the legal agreements necessary to be included in the list of drugs recommended for use in emergency situations (Emergency Use Listing, EUL), after which WHO held a meeting with the fund, where it was discussed what data the organization lacks to complete the procedure.
“The company has committed to providing a detailed roadmap for data submission so that WHO can expedite the evaluation of this vaccine. The data submission is expected by the end of December 2021 and I hope that the process will be completed soon after that,” Kluge said.
RBC sent a request to RDIF.
