Ishchenko : Don economy recovering from

covid restrictions This was told by the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region Alexander Ishchenko.

“We state an increase in the revenue part of the regional budget. The growth of the budget’s own revenues indicates that the Don economy is working and recovering from the blows that it received in 2020 during the period of covid restrictions. Now we are already analyzing what will happen in connection with the nearest restrictions for these 10 days, ”said the speaker of the Don parliament.

According to him, now the priority of the regional budget is medicine. “We are adding 2.4 billion rubles to the 2021 budget to finance the provision of medical care, including those related to covid-19. Plus, 1.4 billion rubles are added to the costs associated with the payment of child benefits for children from 3 to 7 years old, for the birth of the first child, ”Ishchenko emphasized.

He also noted that, at the same time, expenditures will be increased in other areas, including the sphere of culture (more than 115 million rubles) and the development of communal infrastructure. “In particular, a sewer collector will be built in Rostov, we are allocating more than 600 million rubles for this purpose, so that this work will begin this year,” added the chairman of the Don Legislative Assembly.

As Lyudmila Fedotova, Deputy Governor and Minister of Finance of the Rostov Region, noted during a meeting of the regional parliament, the Don region has seen a 20% outstripping growth in its own budget revenues compared to the same period last year.

“Given the growth of actual tax and non-tax revenues in relation to the forecast indicators and the additional receipt of targeted funds from the federal budget, the bill proposes to increase regional budget revenues in 2021 by 7.9 billion rubles, and in 2022 and 2023 - by 3.2 billion rubles and 4.2 billion rubles, respectively,” Fedotova said.

In accordance with the proposed changes, the new revenues of the regional budget will amount to 234 billion rubles, and expenses - 249.5 billion rubles. The deficit will decrease by 1.8 billion rubles and amount to 15.5 billion rubles.
