October 26, MINSK. Two problems with the location of production in the immediate vicinity of residential buildings were resolved in the Minsk region after an on-site reception of citizens with the participation of the HEAD of the Presidential Administration Igor Sergeenko, which took place on September 15 in the Volozhinsky district. This was told to a BelTA correspondent in the district executive committees of the capital region.

Residents of Marina Molokovich Street in the village of Kolodishchi, Minsk District, had long been worried about the problems of noise, wood dust and pungent odors, which, according to the applicants, arose as a result of the activities of a private enterprise producing furniture. "The workshops were located in the immediate vicinity of residential buildings. According to residents, sometimes sawing machines were noisy even on weekends, a pungent smell was constantly felt in the air. This caused discomfort to the residents of the village, some began to think about moving. They tried to resolve the issue with the owner on their own, but The situation changed a month ago, when a collective request to solve the problem was addressed to the head of the Presidential Administration, Igor Sergeenko," the Minsk District Executive Committee said.

By his order, an inspection of the production activities was initiated, during which the noise in the premises and on the territory of the enterprise was measured, dust emissions into the atmosphere were measured, and the sanitary condition of the premises was assessed. No violations were found, however, the owner of the enterprise was obliged by law to measure noise and dust emissions regularly at his own expense. In order not to disturb the local residents, the entrepreneur decided to leave the rented premises and move to a site far from the residential area in the Zaslavl region. According to him, the new place suits him completely.

A similar problem was solved by the inhabitants of the village of Proshika, Krupsky district. Here, a private enterprise for woodworking, pellet production and wood chips was located 20 meters from residential buildings. it functioned for several years, but as production increased, complaints from local residents began to appear. At the reception of citizens at Igor Sergeenko, one of the villagers said that during the operation of the enterprise, smoke always spreads around the village, the air is always heavy due to emissions in the village and its environs.

"By order of the head of the Presidential Administration, the issue was taken under control by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection. Inspections were initiated, during which violations of sanitary standards and problems with documentation were found. The work of the enterprise was suspended. They restore order, eliminate violations, after which the relevant authorities will consider the issue of continuing production activities in this location. If necessary, we will offer sites for locating production on the basis of unused property away from settlements. We are interested in solving the problem of both local residents and enterprises employing about 160 people. We will do our best so that everyone is satisfied," the Krupsky district executive committee said.

On October 27, Head of the Presidential Administration Igor Sergeenko will take part in a meeting of the Vileika District Executive Committee, and at 12.00 he will personally receive citizens there.
