Zhamshed Urakov January 23, MINSK . The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan is interested in exchanging experience and creating joint ventures with Belarus. Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Zhamshed Urakov told reporters about this during a business meeting of delegations of business circles of Uzbekistan and Belarus, BELTA correspondent reports.

According to Jamshed Urakov, the countries are now cooperating in narrow areas, but it is possible to expand ties even further, since there is a good basis for this. “In order to increase overall trade turnover, it is necessary to cooperate more - exchange information, create platforms for business negotiations. Thus, many events were held last year, in particular the Uzbek-Belarusian business forum, a meeting of the Belarusian-Uzbek Business Council. All this helps strengthen ties between our countries," he said.
The Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry added that during such events B2B negotiations are held, businesses exchange contacts and sign a number of important contracts. “Belarus is an interesting business direction for us. We are interested in studying your experience in woodworking, furniture products and other areas. We want to create joint ventures in Uzbekistan, since we have a large market for your country,” Jamshed Urakov emphasized.

The meeting was organized to expand bilateral business ties, establish and deepen contacts between representatives of Belarusian and Uzbek enterprises, as well as organizations. At the end of the plenary part, business representatives from the two countries will hold B2B negotiations and discuss specific projects for further mutually beneficial cooperation. Representatives of more than 100 organizations, industry departments and enterprises take part in the event from the Uzbek side, and more than 170 business representatives from the Belarusian side.
