"We work for the people!" Soligorsk bakery is preparing for its anniversary

Last year alone, 15 types of products of the Soligorsk Bakery Branch of Borisovkhlebprom OJSC were awarded by a professional jury: they received the Grand Prix, gold and silver! What is the secret to the success of a company that has received such high awards? To find out the answer to this question, we go to a city that is famous not only for the production of potassium fertilizers, but also for the products of an enterprise that produces aromatic bakery products and no less tasty confectioneries, which are very popular with consumers. – We work for the people! – emphasizes Vasily Penyaz, DIRECTOR of the Soligorsk Bread Factory, a branch of Borisovkhlebprom OJSC, and reveals the essence of the enterprise’s strategy: – In order to provide the population with healthy, high-quality products, we are constantly working to improve the technologies of baking and confectionery production. At the same time, we do not act alone - we rely on the scientific support of the scientific and production enterprise Beltechnokhleb State Enterprise. We are convinced that we have found a path to the heart of the consumer here after visiting two areas - a bakery and a confectionery. They approach their work only with soul and love and, of course, professionally! “Niva”, “Khutorok” and “Mom’s Choice” Doughmaker Ekaterina Karpovich carefully covers the bowl with dough, now it is supposed to ferment and come up... Baker Tatyana Senyuk has her own tasks. She throws the finished dough from another bowl into the so-called divider. The machine carefully divides the mass into pieces. A conveyor belt guides them to the proofer . There, in the warmth, the future "Niva" new loaf, popular among Soligorsk residents, will increase in volume - and go into the oven. If the "Niva" new" loaf has not yet been baked, then everyone's favorite "Borodinsky", carefully placed on a container, is already waiting to be sent to the stores . We pay attention to several rows of bread with sprinkles.













– This is the “Khutorok Grain Lunch” hearth bread weighing 700 grams. It is sprinkled with oat flakes on top. The trick is that it is baked from first grade FLOUR and boiled wheat grain, which is specially made for such healthy bread – intended for dietary nutrition. The enterprise works a lot to increase the production of products for proper, healthy nutrition.In this series, the increasingly popular bread with sprouted grains - “Mom’s choice” grain”, intended for pregnant and lactating women.
From the heat of the moment
One of the secrets of the success of the enterprise is competent management and reliance on modern technologies. Over the past 10 years, almost all equipment at the Soligorsk branch has been updated.
“We invested about $2.5–3 million in the renovation of production,” says chief engineer Nikolai Usovich, emphasizing that during this time the bulk storage warehouse was modernized, modern lines were purchased and installed: one for the production of loaves, the second for hearth varieties of bread.

About 17 tons of bakery products are produced per day.
Bakers have to compete in difficult conditions. The company store and pavilion of the bakery located in Soligorsk became a good help for selling their products. So that people living outside the city can always buy fresh bread, pastries and confectionery, the company has three food trucks. Shops on wheels deliver to villagers not only their products, as they say, piping hot, but also MEAT and dairy products from local producers. This kind of support is worth a lot!

At the confectionery production site, we immerse ourselves in the aromas of cinnamon, ginger and other spices.

“The equipment here is also the most modern,” assures the chief engineer, drawing our attention to the glazing line, a semi-automatic line for the production of puff pastries, a machine for the production of cookies - with filling and two-color, as well as imported Italian ovens, cream whipping machines, while specifying: – But what would technology mean if our confectioners did not use their ideas and talent along with them!

And although it was still far from lunch, some of the most popular cakes, “Fairy Tale” and “Kyiv,” were already heading to the stores, and pastry chef Inna Mikhalkevich was finishing work on her next masterpiece, “Marmalade Dream.”

...Before leaving home we went to the bakery's company store. We left home with the “Bird's Milk” cake, which, as they say, cannot be found in the capital during the day, and, of course, “Shakhtyorsky” bread - the calling card of Soligorsk.

The assortment of the Soligorsk Bread Factory, a branch of Borisovkhlebprom OJSC, includes about 60 types of bakery products and more than 50 confectionery products. These are traditional varieties of bread, dietary and diabetic products , grain breads, cakes and pastries, gingerbreads, oatmeal cookies, puff pastries, etc.
Soligorsk bakers and confectioners immediately received the Grand Prix of the International Tasting Competition "PRODEXPO-2023. TRADITIONS. QUALITY. INNOVATIONS" in several categories. This high award was given to the cake “Childhood Tales”, crackers “Lasunak” with candied fruits”, bread “City Diabetic”, cupcake “Bylina”, flour sweets “Florentine”. The
Soligorsk bakery also performed successfully at the Republican Quality Review “SMAKOTA”. at 1st degree - for the "Kievsky" cake and flour sweets - "Zabiyaka" and "Lavender". A gold medal was given to the "Nezhensky" baguette, the new "Rye Miracle" bread, the "Garadchanachka" buns with poppy seeds, and the puff pastries "Sugar Donuts" , flour sweets "Cappuccino". Silver – for “Polish special” bread and “Novinka” toast bread.
