The purchase price of milk by processors continues to rise

At the end of September, factories purchased extra-class milk from agricultural enterprises at a price of 12.93 to 13.10 UAH/kg. it should be noted that the number of cows in agricultural enterprises all summer remained at the level of last year. As of September 1, the livestock in this category has become even larger compared to the same period last year, however, by only 0.1%.

Weather conditions and expensive fodder affected the decrease in supply in the summer, which means that with the normalization of temperature conditions and the laying of a new crop in the fall, it is possible to increase the production of raw milk. In the meantime, there is a decrease in the production of raw milk, even in the category of agricultural enterprises.

According to the State Statistics Service, for eight months of the year, milk production by agricultural enterprises decreased by 1.4% compared to the same period last year. The most noticeable percentage decline in production in Chernivtsi (-30%), Rivne (-28%) and Odessa (-21%) regions.

It is necessary to note the growth - Ternopil, Vinnitsa and Khmelnytsky regions are the leaders in the growth of high-quality raw materials in absolute terms.

Household households are significantly reducing milk production (-8.3%), and in the coming years this decline will negatively affect the overall indicators of milk production in the country, as it is happening now.
