Russia and China want to integrate veterinary control systems

The ROSSELKHOZNADZOR held talks with the Main Customs Administration of CHINA . The videoconference was devoted to the issues of registration of veterinary accompanying documents for products sent to China.

Check vet certificates

Rosselkhoznadzor noted that the service uses a component of the VetIS system, eCert, to process EXPORT veterinary accompanying documents. In it, the Chinese side can verify the authenticity of certificates for products from RUSSIA by entering document numbers and dates of issue. Representatives of the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China asked for a manual in English.

Chinese colleagues reported that the Russian side could also check veterinary certificates for products imported from China. To do this, the domestic department has the details of access to the Chinese system in the field of veterinary supervision, similar to VetIS. The platform was recently updated, and some users are having trouble logging in. Therefore, the GTU of the PRC asked to send a list of accounts of Russian specialists experiencing such difficulties.

Enable QR code

The Rosselkhoznadzor also suggested to the Chinese colleagues that they improve the form of the veterinary certificate for the supply of animal products to China by supplementing the document with a QR code. By scanning such a matrix code, representatives of the Chinese department will also be able to verify the authenticity of the document.

Representatives of the General Administration of Customs of China approved the initiative. Rosselkhoznadzor will send them a letter with a proposal for obtaining official consent.

Integrate systems

The domestic service raised the topic of integration of information systems of Russia and China in the field of veterinary supervision. The General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China agreed that this process will be a very important step in the framework of trade interaction.

The parties agreed that the technical specialists of the two countries, in particular, will draw up a plan for the integration of information platforms.
