The Scientific Testing Center (NIC) Cherkizovo became the first private laboratory from the Analytika Association of Analytical Centers to receive accreditation for the detection of covid-19 in environmental samples. This will become an additional guarantee of the safety of Cherkizovo Group products for its Russian and foreign partners.
In March, Cherkizovo Research Center confirmed its technical competence in the field of laboratory activities both in the previously announced 94 methods for studying raw materials, feed, food, packaging and environmental objects, and in four new ones. Among them is the determination of CORONAVIRUS RNA in environmental samples.
— This is a very important event for us, confirming the commitment of the Center to the best practices in the field of quality control and product safety, as well as testifying to the high level of competence of the Research Center. For the Cherkizovo Group, which is not only the leader of the Russian MEAT market, but also supplies its products abroad, the ability to independently detect COVID-19 will further strengthen our relations with partners,” says Sergey Shapovalov, DIRECTOR of the Cherkizovo Research Center.
Every year, the SIC conducts about 1,000 tests, including the most complex laboratory studies in all areas of agricultural activity. The center also conducts research work on the development of genomics and molecular biology, veterinary and sanitary expertise, and analytical chemistry.
In 2020, the Group exported about 85 thousand tons of products, which is almost 70% more than in 2019. Chicken products became the main EXPORT driver: their shipments abroad reached a total volume of about 61 thousand tons.
