January 19, MINSK. The Investigation Department of the USC for the Brest region is investigating a criminal case against a group of underage hooligans. Roman Zarmaev, official representative of USC for the Brest region, informed BelTA about this.
As it became known, on January 14, five college students in a state of intoxication provoked a conflict with two residents of Brest. The young men severely beat the men. After that, the perpetrators fled.Passers-by saw the victims and gave them first aid. Then they reported the incident to law enforcement agencies and called the medics. An investigative team left the scene.
It was possible to detain violators within a few hours at the place of residence.
As it turned out, at the time of the crime, the attackers filmed their illegal actions on a mobile phone. Video recordings were confiscated and attached to the materials of the criminal case.
It was preliminary established that the 32-year-old victim had an open craniocerebral injury, which was caused to him by two suspects.
A criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of article 147 (deliberate infliction of grievous bodily injury, life-threatening, committed out of hooligan motives by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
With the sanction of the prosecutor, two suspects were taken into custody as a preventive measure. At the moment, investigative actions are being carried out with all of them, their involvement in the commission of similar crimes is being checked. The final legal assessment of the actions of each of the young men will be given based on the results of the investigation.
