Minsk woman to be tried for attempted murder of grandmother

January 7, MINSK. The prosecutor's office of the Pervomaisky district of Minsk has filed a criminal case on charges of attempted murder against a Minsk woman, BelTA informs citing the information service of the Minsk prosecutor's office.

According to the materials of the criminal case, on October 13, 2022, a 25-year-old Minsk woman, who was in a state of alcoholic intoxication , quarreled with her grandmother, hit her on the HEAD with a hammer, stabbed her, and then continued to beat her with her hands. The elderly woman was helped by her daughter, who stopped the accused. A week before, the defendant had caused a less serious bodily injury to her grandmother, for which she was brought to justice by the COURT of the Pervomaisky district of Minsk under Part 1 of Article 149 of the Criminal Code.

After studying the case materials, the prosecutor's office came to the conclusion that the accusation was justified, an objective study of the circumstances of the crime and agreed with the qualification of the deed under part 1 of article 14 and part 1 of article 139 of the Criminal Code. The prosecutor left the measure of restraint previously chosen in relation to the accused in the form of detention unchanged.
