The month of safe working conditions in the agro-industrial complex starts in the Vitebsk region

March 27, Vitebsk. The month of ensuring safe working conditions during the preparation and conduct of spring field work starts today in the Vitebsk region. Mobile groups will check about 200 organizations and more than 400 objects, BelTA learned from the Committee on Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

Agro-industrial facilities in the northern region are being examined by 26 special mobile teams. They include representatives of the supervisory and control authorities, the center for hygiene, epidemiology and public HEALTH, trade unions, the prosecutor's office, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Internal Affairs Directorate and employees of executive committees. They will exercise control according to the schedules, there are about 200 organizations in the sphere on the lists.

"The annual practice of holding monthly meetings shows that, despite some positive results achieved in the agro-industrial complex as a whole, the solution of labor protection issues has not become a priority for all employers in relation to the results of production activities," the committee explained. labor, labor and production discipline at all stages of agricultural production, including during the preparation and production of spring field work.Moreover, violations of labor and production discipline are often committed both by officials of the employers organizing the production of work, and by the workers themselves.In isolated cases, facts are recorded appearing at work under the influence of ALCOHOL.

During the sowing season in the Vitebsk region, representatives of the control and supervision bodies were instructed to intensify work to prevent violations of labor laws. Specialists will pay special attention to compliance with the requirements of Directive No. 1 in terms of preventing the drinking of alcoholic beverages in labor collectives, check the effectiveness of labor protection measures that will help to detect and eliminate the risks of injury to people in time. They will also check the availability of conditions for rest and food, providing workers with overalls and footwear.

As noted in the committee, the month of safety during the sowing period allows to study the state of affairs in general, to eliminate and prevent some violations in a timely manner. "Last year, mobile teams examined 183 organizations and 403 agro-industrial facilities, 929 workplaces, where more than 2.1 thousand facts of violations of labor safety legislation were revealed. Thanks to the organizational and disciplinary measures taken, 45% of violations were immediately eliminated, because they did not require material costs, - experts explained. - Most of the shortcomings identified in agricultural organizations concerned the organization of the provision and procedure for using personal protective equipment, the timing and conduct of briefings and testing knowledge on labor protection, admission to work with increased danger.

Among other violations were non-compliance with the safety requirements of machines, agricultural machinery, gas welding equipment, improper maintenance of the territory of the organization and storage of material assets - materials and spare parts.

Following the results of the month, instructive seminars-meetings will be held with the heads and specialists of the farms of the Vitebsk region. They will analyze the revealed facts and discuss the reasons. Information about typical violations for taking response measures will be sent to the district executive committees, and materials for bringing the perpetrators to justice will be transferred to the prosecutor's office.
