USAU will hold a regional forum on industry classes

On June 16 at 11 am, the Yeltsin Center will host the 1st Regional Forum "Agroschool - professional orientation in training personnel for the agro-industrial complex."
At the initiative of the Ural State Agrarian University, the Boiling Point - Yekaterinburg resource center will meet school directors, representatives of the university and education departments of the city of Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk region, as well as heads of agro-industrial complex organizations.
The main goal of the forum is the exchange of best practices for organizing and developing a network of agricultural classes in the region, the search for new forms and mechanisms of interaction between schools, universities, businesses and agribusiness enterprises.
“Officially, the Agroschool project has existed in the region for the fifth year, but our university has been conducting systematic career guidance work with schoolchildren within the framework of sectoral agricultural classes for more than 20 years. We want as many potential participants as possible to get acquainted with our initiative, and together we discussed further plans for successful cooperation,” said Natalya V. Bylinina, DIRECTOR of the USAU Youth Professional Development Center.

Recall that the educational project "Agroschool", which is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Agro-Industrial Complex and the Consumer Market of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Ministry of Education and Youth Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region and the Ural State Agrarian University, started in the region in 2019. Today, more than 30 educational institutions and 450 schoolchildren have already joined it. Students of grades 8-11 are trained in agricultural classes in the following areas: Veterinary Medicine, Bioengineering, City Farming, Engineering Technologies, Introduction to Agribusiness. The main tasks of the "Agroschool" are the early career guidance of schoolchildren, the involvement of young people in entrepreneurship in the agro-industrial sector, and the training of new personnel for the village.
