On July 13, 2022, within the framework of the International Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", the Republic of Belarus, a round table was held on the basis of OJSC "BelItunipharm" on the organization of import-substituting production of veterinary drugs on the territory of the Union State. it was attended by the DIRECTOR of JSC "BelVitunifarm" S.A. Bolshakov, director of Trade House Vitebsk Biofactory E.Yu. Kartoveshchenko, Director of the Shchelkovo Biocombinat O.V. Akilin, director of the Kursk biofactory V.V. Ivanov, vice-president of the VETBIOPROM association M.I. Burmistrov. On behalf of the FSBI "Federal Center for Animal Health" subordinated to the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR, the round table was attended by Deputy Director for Production N.V. Freezing.
In recent years, the importance of the biological industry in ensuring the biological safety of the Union State has increased significantly, which requires not only the adoption of new decisions, but also the deepening of integration processes and the development of joint actions. The scientific community notes the importance of interaction between Russian and Belarusian specialists in terms of exchanging experience and finding solutions for the implementation of joint projects aimed at developing the biotechnology industry of states. Emphasis on the production of not just import-substituting drugs, but on our own development of innovative veterinary drugs, including joint ones.
During the meeting, a number of issues were considered related to the organization of import-substituting production in RUSSIA and the Republic of Belarus, the development of innovative veterinary drugs, and the formation of a favorable environment for the development of biotechnologies. After the round table, there was a sightseeing tour of the BelVitunifarm enterprise, which produces more than 150 types of veterinary drugs: serums, viral and bacterial vaccines, medicines.
