Innovative greenhouse complex operates in the Lipetsk region

Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev, while on a working trip to the Lipetsk region, together with the HEAD of the region Igor Artamonov, visited the LipetskAgro greenhouse complex in Dankovo.

Here, on an area of ​​55 hectares, several varieties of tomatoes are grown. This year they plan to produce 34 thousand tons of products.

The company is considered innovative. All greenhouses here are of the fifth generation. This is the latest global development in this industry. Production is fully automated, with the exception of manual picking of vegetables. The temperature is regulated by a special computer program: outdoor sensors respond to weather changes, the data is sent to the control center and the system does not allow overheating or hypothermia of the complex. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to grow seedlings here all year round; in other greenhouses, planting is carried out mainly in the warm season.

No chemicals are used at the enterprise, and the plants are pollinated by bumblebees. What makes the products environmentally friendly and in demand. Vegetables are supplied to Russian regions and a number of European countries. The products were offered to be tasted by the minister and the head of the region, who noted the good and natural taste of Dankovo ​​tomatoes.

“We are steadily increasing the production of greenhouse vegetables, while focusing not only on quantity, but also on quality,” said Igor Artamonov, head of the Lipetsk region. “We assume that this year about 170,000 tons of high-quality products will be harvested in Lipetsk greenhouses.”

The positive experience of the Lipetsk region in growing greenhouse vegetables was noted today at a meeting of the operational headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture of RUSSIA to monitor the situation in the agro-industrial complex and the food market. It was emphasized that since 2014, the gross harvest of greenhouse vegetables in the region has increased several times, which allows the subject to occupy a leading position in the country for several years.

Large greenhouse complexes provide people not only with products, but also with jobs. LipetskAgro employs more than 800 people. There is no staff turnover, there is competition and the opportunity to earn good money. Salary here depends on the amount of work performed. On average, employees receive at least 40 thousand rubles a month, but many earn up to 80 thousand rubles a month. According to the company's employees, for a city of the Dankov level, and especially for local villages, this is a very worthy income.
