Most of the polled (80%) Perm residents are ready to purchase a used car directly from a private person. Such data was obtained as a result of a survey of the RGS Bank and Otkritie Bank.

The second most popular way to purchase used cars is in car dealerships, chosen by 61% of respondents. Another 52% of car owners are considering a purchase on classified sites, 11% - at auctions, 2% - on marketplaces.

According to the survey, Perm has become one of the few cities in RUSSIA where the option of buying a car by importing from abroad is not considered in principle.

Men are more likely to buy a car from their hands than women - 79% and 74% of respondents, respectively. At the same time, 62% of women chose to buy used cars on online classifieds compared to 53% of men. In addition, such sites are more in demand among young people aged 18-30 (65% of respondents). And buying a used car directly from private sellers is closest to drivers aged 46-55 (84%).

“The popularity of the usual way for Russians to buy a used car from their hands is understandable. However, every year the market is becoming more and more civilized: on the one hand, the share of dealers in the market for the sale of used cars is increasing, on the other hand, the level of service and security of the transaction in online selection is growing, including through automotive marketplaces and classifieds,” noted in the press service of RGS Bank.
