The Kremlin called the timing of the assessment of the effect of non-working days

it is still too early to assess the impact of non-working days on the epidemic situation in the country, it will be possible to draw conclusions about a change in the situation with covid-19 in the country no earlier than in a week, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters, RBC correspondent reports.

Peskov was asked if President Vladimir Putin had information about the results that the introduction of non-working days brought.

“It is too early to draw conclusions, it will be clear only in a week, such is the real conclusion,” Peskov replied.

On October 20, Putin signed a decree declaring non-working days in the country with the preservation of wages from October 30 to November 7. At the same time, the authorities of the regions received the right to establish additional non-working days both before October 30 and after November 7, depending on the sanitary and epidemic situation in the subjects of the federation.

In addition, the government and regional authorities have taken measures to support small and medium-sized businesses, as well as socially oriented non-profit organizations that have been most affected by the worsening epidemiological situation and the introduction of non-working days.
