Casino Sochi explained how tax deductions doubled in 2021

As of July 1, 2021, tax revenues from the gambling business to the budget of the Krasnodar Territory amounted to 226 million rubles. This is 99% more than a year earlier, follows from the materials of the Ministry of Finance of the Krasnodar Territory. Then the regional budget received 114 million rubles.

So, as of July 1, 2020, tax revenues from casinos amounted to 226.2 million rubles, with an annual plan of 440.3 million rubles. This year, according to the current version of the regional budget, tax revenues from the gambling business are planned in the amount of 424.78 million rubles.

“Every piece of gaming equipment is taxed, whether it's a machine or a gaming table. Most of the playground equipment was mothballed for the period of the pandemic. When the restrictions became softer and events became allowed, poker series started in the Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone, which are held every quarter. Part of the equipment was reactivated and the number of gaming tables increased,” commented Dmitry Anfinogenov, Development DIRECTOR of the Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone.

As RBC Krasnodar reported, since the beginning of 2021. tax revenues from the gambling business of the Kuban decreased by 4% and amounted to 71 million rubles. According to experts, the covid-19 pandemic has affected economic and social indicators . Due to the pandemic, the overall attendance statistics of the Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone in 2020 decreased by 23% compared to 2019. In 2019, Sochi was visited by more than 6.5 million guests, of which 2.2 thousand people rested in Krasnaya Polyana. In 2020, these figures amounted to 5.6 million people and 2.1 thousand guests, respectively.
