The awards were presented following the results of the Russian agro-industrial exhibition “Golden Autumn - 2023”, which was held on October 4-7 at the site of the Russian State Agrarian University-Moscow Agricultural Academy named after. Timiryazev.
The competition commission headed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation highly appreciated the work of the Ural State Agrarian University in the field of digitalization of the agro-industrial complex, selection and seed production of agricultural crops, increasing the productivity of cattle and poultry, animal treatment and much more.
As a result of the exhibition “Golden Autumn”, representatives of USAU won 16 medals: 9 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze.
Among the noted scientific developments: selection and seed production of Ural potato varieties, as well as digital solutions for storing seed potatoes; agrotechnopark "Ural"; herbal medicine for diseases of the nervous system in veterinary practice; increasing the environmental safety of poultry products; automated hydroponics for growing plants and more.
The competition committee also highly appreciated the work of university scientists in organizing and holding the international scientific forum “From modernization to accelerated development of the agro-industrial complex”; release of periodicals and a repository website - an electronic archive with all scientific research of the university.
“Today, the university’s scientific activities are carried out in all priority areas of development of the country’s agro-industrial complex: genetics and selection. innovative technologies and much more. We actively work with partners - leading enterprises in the region, and attract students. Only in such a consortium is it possible to achieve high results. I want to thank the entire university staff for their well-coordinated and productive work,” said Mikhail Yuryevich Karpukhin, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at Ural State Agrarian University, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor.
At the anniversary XXV agro-industrial exhibition “Golden Autumn”, university scientists also took part in an extensive business program, the main theme of which was the development of agricultural science and education.
At the plenary session of the exhibition with the participation of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin and the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev, issues of the development of agricultural education were discussed. The main trends in the development of veterinary medicine and ensuring epizootic welfare were discussed during the round table “Current issues of the state veterinary service.” At the plenary session “Women in the Agro-Industrial Complex”, measures aimed at increasing the role of rural women in the agricultural sector were discussed. At the business breakfast, the topical issue of training personnel for the agro-industrial complex was discussed.
Young scientists from USAU also attended a number of business events. This includes a round table“Young scientist for the agro-industrial complex. Personnel training and the role of interdisciplinary research centers in the formation of professional competencies in accordance with the design and technological solutions being developed and implemented in modern agricultural production.”
