A new outbreak of brucellosis was recorded in Buryatia

The state veterinary service of the region began an investigation into this case. Grazing of livestock from this farm is prohibited. Infected animals are eliminated at specialized points.
“The main task at the moment is to prevent the spread of the disease and eliminate the source of infection. In connection with this, quarantine measures and the introduction of restrictive measures were planned, which will help prevent the further spread of brucellosis among animals,” the veterinary department reported on the VKontakte social network.
The veterinary service reminded that brucellosis is a dangerous disease that can be transmitted to humans by consuming MILK or MEAT from sick animals.
The first outbreak of brucellosis infection was identified in the same area at the end of May. A second outbreak of the disease among livestock in the Dzhidinsky district was recorded in June.
