Rosselkhoznadzor appealed to the competent department of Azerbaijan with a request to suspend the import and transit of chicken paws through Russia

The reason for the restrictions was the information received by the department about the shipments of chicken paws by the Azerbaijani poultry enterprise Sunaz LLC from the Iranian organization, which is located in the focus of highly pathogenic avian influenza. Over the past period of 2023, this Azerbaijani company sent in transit through the territory of RUSSIA to the Republic of Belarus more than 1,000 tons of these products.

Such measures will be in effect until the submission to the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR of documents confirming the Azerbaijani origin, biological and food safety of the products supplied.

The Russian department also turned to the Belarusian veterinary service with a request to confirm the delivery of the goods.
