This represents an 18% increase in EXPORT revenue, while the national MEAT complex export volume declined by 8% as it was recorded at $ 1,108,392,821 for 380,909 tonnes in 2024 .

In terms of this indicator, from January to June 2025, 185,143 tonnes of beef were shipped for a value of US$1,056,135,495, and 38,073 tonnes of offal were sold to various destinations for a value of US$70,439,830.

Markets: Chile tops the list

The main market for the complex remains Chile, which captured 32%, purchasing 57,130 tons worth US$343,039,359, Taiwan came in second with 14%, purchasing 25,350 tons worth US$151,645,449, and the United States came in third with 11%, purchasing 19,825 tons worth US$111,897,928.

Israel ranked fourth with 10%, purchasing 15,855 tonnes worth $100,519,453, and Brazil ranked fifth with 6%, with sales of $63,941,609 and 10,003 tonnes. RUSSIA was 4%, CANADA 3%, the European Union 3%, other markets 15%, and Maritime Supply 2%.

The first half of the year was one of the best in the last four years in terms of volumes and revenues, with 380,909 tonnes worth US$1,108,392,821 exported from January to June in 2024, around 297,601 tonnes worth US$966,646,725 in 2023, and around 296,104 tonnes worth US$1,103,336,021 in 2022.

 New market

El Salvador is the new market announced by Senacsa after the General Directorate of Livestock of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of the government of that country on Tuesday approved the International Animal HEALTH Certificate for the export of beef and beef products from Paraguay to that destination.

“From this date, our country will be able to begin exporting meat and meat products to the Republic of El Salvador,” they explained, adding that this authorization represents another significant step forward in expanding international markets for national livestock products and reflects the commitment of the public and private sectors to developing the country’s productive sector.
