According to Sergey Ivanov, Executive DIRECTOR of Efko, the main contribution to the growth of the company's revenue last year was made by the branded business , oilseed processing and specialized fats. “In mayonnaise, it was possible to add 12% in the stagnating market, in exports they grew by 34%. The “green shelf” pleases, although not such noticeable figures against the general background, but this is a 300% growth, a billion turnover is already visible and good prospects in Africa and the Middle East,” he noted. “A good harvest and the fact that we managed to increase production capacities helped in the processing of oilseeds.” At the same time, Ivanov draws attention to the fact that more than half of the increase in revenue was provided by an increase in product prices.

PepsiCo's results were affected by significant changes in the company's activities in RUSSIA, explains Svetlana Silenina, HEAD of Consumer Market at INFOLine. In March last year, PepsiCo announced it would stop sales of its flagship brands Pepsi, 7Up, Mirinda and others in Russia, as well as stop investment and marketing activities. In July 2022, PepsiCo launched sales of drinks under the brands Evervess, Frustyle and Russian Gift, which should replace the brands that have left the market. At the same time, the sale of dairy products, as well as foodstuffs for children, continued.

A year ago, INFOLine analysts predicted that by the end of 2022 the leader of their rating could change, and they also estimated that Efko or Rusagro could take the first line. Rusagro eventually became the third in the list with a revenue of 240.2 billion rubles. (plus 8%). In 2022, the company reduced its growth rates: in previous years they were double-digit, so, in 2021, the agricultural holding's revenue increased by 40%, Silenina draws attention.

Miratorg with an estimated figure of 217 billion rubles. (an increase of 15%) took fourth place, a year earlier it was fifth. Next come the KDV Group with 213.1 billion rubles. (plus 15%, the company rose from sixth to fifth place), Nestle Russia dropped from fourth place to sixth with an estimated revenue of 195 billion rubles. (plus 3%), the Cherkizovo group retained the seventh line with 184.3 billion rubles. (plus 17%). The Mars company increased revenue by 14% to 176.5 billion rubles. and, as in the results of 2021, became the eighth in the list. GAP "Resource" showed the most significant growth dynamics among the rating participants - plus 36% to 171 billion rubles. - and took ninth place, while a year ago it was tenth. The top 10 is closed by Agropromkomplektatsiya with an estimated figure of 151 billion rubles, which is 13% more than in 2021, according to INFOLine analysts. The company was in ninth place last year. The total revenue of the top 10 participants in 2022 amounted to almost 2.1 trillion rubles. against 1.84 trillion rubles. in 2021

According to INFOLine analysts, in 2023 the process of changing the owners of companies will continue in the Russian market. In addition, they expect an increase in the number of new products and brands that will be brought to the market by both domestic and international companies. Also, the share of retail chains' own brands in the turnover of industry players will continue to increase, which, according to INFOLine estimates, exceeded 10% last year, and reached more than 20% for the largest retail chains.

When compiling the rating, INFOLine specialists analyze the performance of more than 100 Russian companies belonging to all segments of the production of food and beverages for end consumers. The rating does not include companies that produce raw materials, semi-finished products and operate mainly in the b2b sector (for example, the rating does not include such companies as Cargill and Commonwealth), as well as companies engaged in only marketing activities (for example, trading house "RIF" ). The main parameter for ranking companies is the revenue from the sale of goods both in Russia and abroad. At the same time, given the vertical integration of the industry, some participants in the rating have their own retail chains, catering chains, as well as agricultural assets.
