April 1, MINSK . A Baranovichi college student brutally beat up an elderly man on his anniversary. This was reported to BELTA by the Investigative Committee.
As reported by the investigative agency, a conflict occurred in the village of Koldychevo in the Baranovichi District, which ended with serious bodily injuries to one of the participants.
According to the investigation, on the evening of March 30, a 20-year-old local resident got into a verbal altercation with a 60-year-old man. The conversation escalated into a brawl, but passers-by intervened in the conflict.
Later, when the 60-year-old man was returning home, the young man followed him. Entering the territory of the house, the suspect knocked the man down and inflicted multiple blows to the HEAD and body. As a result, the man received serious bodily injuries.

The Baranovichi Interdistrict Department of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 147 (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code.
The suspect is currently in custody. Investigative actions are being carried out with his participation. The investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
