Over 142 thousand tons of sugar were produced in Bashkortostan during the season

The SUGAR factories of the republic have completed the production season. Chishminsky Sugar Plant and Raevsakhar have processed the entire volume of sugar beet harvested in 2021.
Recall that last year more than 36 thousand hectares of sugar beet were sown in the region, from which almost a million tons of root crops were harvested. In total for the season, two sugar factories of the republic harvested 908.8 thousand tons of beets in test weight.
As a result, enterprises received 142.3 thousand tons of sugar. The root crops of the new harvest pleased with a good yield of sugar, on average for two plants - 16.2-16.4%.
it should be noted that in the past off-season, both enterprises carried out reconstruction, seriously increasing their beet processing capacity. Modernization allows each plant to process from 5.5 to 6 thousand tons of beets per day.
The volume of sugar received in the current season several times covers the needs of the population of the region.
