A resident of Baranovichi set fire to his mother to take revenge

The duty unit of the Baranovichi District Executive Committee Department of Internal Affairs received a message from the duty officer of the Ministry of Emergency Situations that a house was burning on the territory of one of the gardening associations. An investigative task force was sent to the scene.
Eyewitnesses told law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene that the arson was committed by a resident of Baranovichi, the son of the owner of the burnt-down summer house. Concerned people detained him.
The detainee explained that he lives with his mother, but is on hostile terms with her. After another squabble, while in a state ofintoxicated , he harbored a grudge against his mother. The woman's son took matches and paper and went to the gardening community to set the house on fire and thereby harm his mother. Having reached the gardening community, the man carried out his plan to the end.
The summer house burned down completely, the material damage amounted to more than Br7.1 thousand.
A criminal case was opened under the article "Intentional destruction or damage to property". The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of restriction of freedom for up to five years or imprisonment for a term of three to ten years.
