June 12, MINSK . The Nesvizh District COURT sentenced a mother who threatened her 8-year-old son with a knife, BELTA reports citing the press service of the Minsk Regional Court.

The accused was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months of imprisonment in a general regime colony. The preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior before the sentence enters into legal force has been changed. The accused was taken into custody in the courtroom.

it was established that the mother, being ablealcoholic intoxication , at home deliberately, in order to instill in her young son, born in 2015, a feeling of fear for his HEALTH , holding a knife in his hand, threatening to cut off his hand. To confirm this, she stabbed the child's right hand with a knife, causing him bodily harm.

The woman partially admitted her guilt, explaining that she had no intent to cause bodily harm. The court

did not establish any mitigating circumstances . However, there were circumstances that aggravated responsibility. The court recognized as such the commission of a crime while intoxicated, in relation to a known minor, in relation to a person who is financially dependent on the perpetrator. The verdict has not entered into legal force and can be appealed and protested in the manner prescribed by law.
