Minsk traffic police fined 159 reckless drivers over the weekend

July 31, MINSK . Capital state traffic inspectors fined 159 motorists for speeding over the weekend. BelTA was informed about this by the UGAI GUVD of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
Over the weekend, 58 accidents occurred in the capital. The traffic police detained 11 drivers for driving while intoxicated. Employees of the State traffic inspectorate prevented 41 cases of driving a car without rights, as well as 37 violations of the rules for transporting children. 137 motorists were involved for violations of the rules of passage of pedestrian crossings, another 75 drivers - for neglecting the requirements for the use of seat belts.
According to the traffic police, 432 pedestrians violated traffic rules, 24 of them were in a state ofALCOHOL intoxication .
The traffic police calls on road users to respect each other and reminds that strict observance of the Rules of the Road is a guarantee of road safety.
