The Swiss concern Sulzer, one of the world's leading manufacturers of pumps for the oil and gas and energy industries, announced its withdrawal from RUSSIA and the sale of assets in the country. This is stated in a statement on the company's website.

“The Board of Directors regrets having to make such a decision after decades of working in Russia, but after carefully considering the options, it concluded that this is the best option for all stakeholders,” the message says.

Sulzer expressed its gratitude to employees around the world for working in the current stressful environment and noted that it will continue to support the 300 staff in Russia during the process of going out of business.

Sulzer manufactures and services pumps, machine tools and other industrial equipment for the oil, petrochemical, pulp and paper and other industries. The order book for 2021 was about 3.2 billion Swiss francs.

According to SPARK, Sulzer has several subsidiaries in Russia.
