This year, more than 134 thousand recruits were drafted into the Russian army, and 3.5 thousand were not allowed to serve due to infection with covid-19 , TASS reports with reference to the Ministry of Defense.
“In accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated March 29, 2021, in the spring of this year, more than 134,000 people were called up and sent to military formations and bodies for conscription into the Russian Armed Forces,” the ministry said.
At the same time, during testing for CORONAVIRUS, the Ministry of Defense did not allow about 3.5 thousand people to be drafted. They were diagnosed with COVID-19.

They specified that more than 350 people were sent to scientific companies, where more than 650 military men serve. More than 150 people were sent to sports companies.
