Ambulance workers declared the death of the person taken from the water. As it became known, before the arrival of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the drowned man with his granddaughter born in 2010 and her friend swam in the pond. At some point, the man and the girl began to drown. The fisherman rushed to help and pulled the child out of the water onto the shore. The second girl got out on her own. The man could not be saved.
Rescuers pay attention: for swimming, it is necessary to choose only specially equipped places, adults should not forget about control over children, babies should be at arm's length.
In most cases, emergencies with adults occur while drinking ALCOHOL, while swimming while intoxicated. Drinking alcohol on water bodies can lead to tragedy. "Always evaluate your strengths. Do not arrange swims for an argument, explain to the children what an incorrect calculation of forces can lead to. Remember, it is deadly to dive into the water from a height in unknown places," the Ministry of Emergency Situations added.
What to do if you witness someone drowning? Call other people or OSVOD rescuers for help if they are nearby. Call the Ministry of Emergency Situations 112 and call an ambulance at 103. Throw a life buoy or a long rope with a knot at the end (if any) to a drowning person. If there is a boat, swim up to the person and try to help.
If you swim well and are confident in your abilities - try to get to the drowning person on your own, grab the person from behind by the shoulders and try not to let him grab you in a panic. Swim back with him. If a drowning person is unconscious, drag him to the shore, taking his hand under his chin so that his face is constantly above the surface of the water. If possible, start providing first aid.
