To survive, I drank “broth » leather belt Larisa Anatolyevna, your childhood fell on the war years. What do you remember from that time that your mother told?
– When the war started, I was only two years old, so I remember only fragments. Dad was a long-distance navigator, he did not have time to go to the front, but he actively took part in the militia to protect Leningrad. He died after a severe wound. Thousands of people died in Leningrad, they were buried without coffins. Mom sewed dad's body into a blanket, then they loaded it into a car that collected the dead around the city. When mom was making the bed dad slept on, she found a few pieces of bread that he left for us. She sobbed for a long time. Soon my grandmother died during the bombing and my older sister, who was only six years old.
To survive, my mother cut my father's leather belt into pieces, boiled it, and we drank this “broth”.
My father brought me a toy from the last trip abroad - a beautiful bear cub. He has been with me all my life: both during the heavy blockade and evacuation to Leninsk-Kuznetsky, Kemerovo region, then returned to Leningrad, moved to Tallinn.
A vivid memory of a military childhood is the first reward for public speaking. It happened during the evacuation. At a celebration in kindergarten, I recited poetry so vividly that the headmaster took me in her arms and carried me to the kitchen. Cutlets were fried there, one of which she gave me. I have lived a long life, been in many countries of the world, at various receptions, but I have never eaten such a delicious cutlet even in the most expensive restaurant. I quarreled with Tikhonov on the set, and then talked with him until the end of his life. You gained international fame while still a student, starring in the film "On the Seven Winds." How did your relationship with partner Vyacheslav Tikhonov develop?
- Relations with him on the set did not work out for us. Maybe because I'm still a student, and he is already a popular actor. Tikhonov seemed too arrogant. Instead of helping me, inexperienced, he went to the DIRECTOR Stanislav Rostotsky to complain about me. Once I could not stand it and expressed my offense to Slava, we had a fight. Soon it was my birthday. I invited the entire film crew to the celebration, with the exception of Tikhonov. Suddenly Stanislav Iosifovich comes and gives me kind words and a box of chocolates from Slava. I felt very uncomfortable. And at the first meeting we made peace. Until the end of Slava's life, we warmly communicated, visited each other. Vysotsky dedicated the song "She was in Paris" to her After participating in the Cannes Film Festival, Vladimir Vysotsky dedicated the song “She was in Paris” to you. Tell us about the work on the film "Vertical", where you starred with him.
- Every day we gathered as a group in the hotel bar, where we talked, had fun and, of course, could not do without ALCOHOL, but Volodya did a great job - he was always sober and never disrupted the shooting.
The song you are talking about, Volodya really dedicated to me. For the first time he sang it to me in the mountains during the filming of "Vertical". He wrote five songs for the film, and only "Rock Climber" was cut.
Vysotsky was shorter than me, lean and very charismatic. When he took the guitar and started to sing, all the women around looked at him with adoration. He took good care of them. As for me, we had friendly relations. My husband was friends with Volodya, and we could not have anything. He often visited us.
After Volodya's death, a lot of bad things were written and said about him. But I believe that because of the addiction to alcohol, one cannot condemn a person. You need to treat Vysotsky with sympathy and respect for what he managed to do. “Having realized that I was impregnable, persistent Hossein lagged behind” As part of the Soviet delegation, you presented the film “On the Seven Winds” at the Cannes Film Festival. There they met Marc Chagall and world star Robert Hossein. Tell us about these meetings.
– When I was introduced to Marc Chagall in Cannes, I, to my shame, did not know that he was a famous artist. He not only gave me time, but also signed an album of his paintings as a memento and presented the painting. Then I did not attach any importance to it. I didn’t even know that Chagall’s painting costs fabulous money. Soon I gave it to the bard Alexander Galich: he loved painting, besides, he suffered a heart attack shortly before, and I really wanted to support him. Of course, after a while I regretted my generosity, but nothing could be corrected.
Our acquaintance with Robert Hossein took place in the foyer of the hotel where our delegation lived. It was like this: an imposing man approached me and greeted me in Russian. I was confused: who in Cannes speaks Russian so well? Looking closely, I recognized Robert Hossein, who was known to the Soviet audience primarily for the cycle of films about Angelica. He began to persistently invite me to his room for informal communication. For me it was unacceptable. I refused. To which Ossein asked in surprise: “You can’t?” We were indeed warned before the trip: there should be no communication with foreigners. But I told Robert the following: “Why not? I just do not want". This only inflamed the world star, and he began to insist: “What are you afraid of? I won't jump on you! I value my reputation. Unless I kiss such a beautiful girl. Realizing that I was impregnable, persistent Ossein lagged behind. The groom was very jealous of Okudzhava What else do you like to do in life besides cinema?
- There was a time when Borya Khmelnitsky introduced me to billiards. I played it with pleasure at the Cinema House, studied all the subtleties. Then she broke her arm and stopped playing. Even earlier, she was fond of gliding and was the only woman in her company. Now I like to spend time in the country, walk in nature. I love to communicate with my grandchildren, who simply call me Larisa.
Is it true that Bulat Okudzhava was in love with you?
– He liked my role in the film “On the Seven Winds”. After the premiere, Bulat began to show interest in me, to invite me to his performances. I became a talisman for him. But there was nothing between us, because I already had a fiancé - cameraman Lesha Cherdynin. And he was very jealous of Okudzhava. Once I even talked to him about this topic. After that, Bulat stopped inviting me to performances and calling me. Later I found out that he dedicated the song “The Black Sea” to me.
Once we accidentally met with Bulat on the platform in Leningrad. I was delighted and hurried to him. But Okudzhava did not want to talk to me. After a cold greeting, he hastened to leave.

People's Artist of the RSFSR Larisa Anatolyevna Luzhina was born on March 4, 1939 in Leningrad. She has 108 film roles, including "Vertical", "On the Seven Winds", "Silence", "Do not part with your loved ones", "Petersburg Secrets", which were included in the golden fund of Soviet cinema.
