The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan warns: the validity

period of QR codes may be revised

Reduction of terms

“So far, the validity of the vaccination certificate is 1 year, regardless of the vaccine. But there is a clarification in the guidelines that if the epidemiological situation worsens, the decision can be changed, ”Dmitry Lopushov, chief epidemiologist, specialist in immunoprophylaxis of the Ministry of HEALTH of the Republic of Tatarstan, said today during a live broadcast.

The term of the COVID-certificate, he noted, does not depend on the type of vaccine. The emergence of new strains of CORONAVIRUS infection can affect the deterioration of the epidemiological situation.

New covid certificates

Since yesterday, new vaccination certificates have come into effect in RUSSIA. Lopushov said that the new certificate includes 3 blocks of information - about vaccination, past covid-19 and medical withdrawal.

“In each of these cases, the validity period of the certificates is different. For vaccinated citizens, the certificate will be valid for a year, for those who have been ill - for six months, and for residents with a medical exemption - from 1 to 6 months (depending on the diagnosis),” he said.

The day before, users noticed that the period of validity of vaccination certificates was halved on the State Services portal. The operational headquarters of the Republic of Tatarstan reported that this happened in connection with the technical work that was carried out on the portal. “The validity of QR codes for vaccination against a new coronavirus infection remains the same. Now the portal is working as usual, QR codes are being restored," the headquarters added.

The order of the Ministry of Health of Russia on the need to approve a new type of this medical document was signed on October 22, but entered into force the day before. The document says that for everyone who has already received vaccinations and issued a certificate, it will simply be reissued on the Single Portal. RBC wrote about this.
