February 24, MINSK. In 2022, 233 livestock enterprises in Belarus were equipped and re-equipped with machinery. Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats told journalists during the final collegium of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, BelTA has learned.

“Among other things, in 2022 we invested in the modernization of our main facilities. Thus, we underwent technical re-equipment and equipment of 233 livestock enterprises in our country. We plan to receive an additional 24 thousand tons of MEAT this year at six pig breeding complexes that have been put into operation. We will also receive an additional 8,000 tons of meat at two poultry enterprises in the Minsk and Vitebsk regions," said Leonid Zayats.

He added that on behalf of the HEAD of state, during 2023-2024, the task is to build 10 dairy complexes in each region of Belarus.

“This will make it possible to add the number of dairy herds and increase the number of cattle. As a result, this will have a positive effect on livestock production and increase the load on our capacities, because we still need to add 3 million tons of MILK in order to fully load our capacities. So, in 2023, we will receive an additional 127,000 tons of milk from 39 new dairy farms," ​​the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized. "I am sure that our products will be in demand not only in our country, but also abroad."
