July 2, MINSK. Belarus sells food worth more than $18 million a day. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Leonid Zayats in an interview to the program "Question number one" on the TV channel, BelTA informs.
According to him, Belarus today receives good foreign exchange earnings from food exports. "We have enough capacity for storage, our goods are not delayed in warehouses. Today they are moving quite rhythmically. Our country sells food worth more than $18 million a day. More than 130 countries around the world use our food. America, Europe, Asia and Oceania - Everyone knows Belarusian products," said Leonid Zayats.He stressed that Belarus steadily occupies a leading position in the world in terms of food supplies, in particular, it is in the top five in the EXPORT of cheese, butter, and powdered MILK. “Today, our products are very popular in different countries of the world. Even, for example, the European Union imported $196 million from Belarus in four months of this year. Poland - $75 million. Germany, Denmark, Norway, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and many other countries - everyone wants to eat," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Under the new conditions, cooperation with RUSSIA in the agro-industrial complex is intensively developing. It was discussed, among other things, at the IX Forum of Regions. “Now a lot of things unite the economic interests of Belarus and the Russian Federation. Taking into account the sanctions that have been imposed on our countries, both countries have a desire to implement programs that have not been implemented before. Our countries can complement each other in order to ensure the production of those products within the Union State which are needed for our economy, for our people. We have very great opportunities for this," said Leonid Zayats.
