July 1, Grodno. The agro-industrial complex of RUSSIA and Belarus is developing dynamically. This was stated by State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Ivan Lebedev during a plenary session on the topic "The role of interregional cooperation in deepening the integration processes of the Union State", BelTA has learned.
"The agro-industrial complex of the two countries is developing dynamically. We show success in the main industry areas. In many respects, we have set records that have not been seen for 40 years. This is possible thanks to the right palette of state support tools for the two countries. We have the same approach to supporting farmers in relation to large, medium and small farms," Ivan Lebedev said.He added that today the figures on mutual trade speak for themselves. “Three years ago, it was practically impossible for us to have a dialogue with colleagues in terms of forecast balances for MILK and MEAT. We had difficult working meetings. Many enterprises for the supply to the Russian Federation were closed. , and we have a high-quality forecast balance. This is really like a partnership," Ivan Lebedev noted.
Ivan Lebedev stressed that there is good investment attractiveness. "We have a fairly serious reserve. We have reviewed infrastructure issues so as not to bring down each other, but to create new opportunities, new markets. We understand for sure that it is necessary to enter into a contractual structure of crop rotation, which is happening even today. We help each other qualitatively: we bring rapeseed, soybeans here, Belarus helps us in processing. And vice versa. As a result, we have a general qualitative result," Ivan Lebedev concluded.
