Summing up the 11 months of 2023, Maria Klimova noted that the entire agro-industrial complex worked dynamically and positively. “Our products in all farms of all forms of ownership are produced at a growth rate of about 101%. At the same time, in agricultural organizations the rate is higher - 102%. This is mainly supported by the development of the livestock industry, where during this period of time products were produced at a growth rate of 105%. “This is a good pace for the current conditions for the development of the agro-industrial complex in the context of changing global markets,” she said.

More than 7.5 million tons of MILK were produced with a growth rate of 106%; cattle MEAT and poultry in live weight were produced more than 1.6 million tons with a growth rate of almost 104%. “If we compare these figures, we understand that the volume of processing of livestock raw materials has increased. All dairy processing enterprises processed milk at a growth rate of 107%; for livestock, the rate was even higher - 109% compared to the same period last year. This all ensured an increase in production volumes our main types of products,” the specialist noted.

In conditions of increased demand for animal oil and sausages on the world market, the production of these products was increased by 22%. “These types of products were in high demand on the world market, but domestic demand remained the same. If we talk about whole milk products, we began to consume them more due to the expansion of the assortment,” said Maria Klimova.

According to her, last year the crop production industry failed a little. Long periods of drought and heavy rain have affected areas of risky farming, for example in the Vitebsk and Gomel regions. “Nevertheless, the industry covers this with livestock farming, and feed for 2024 has already been prepared at about 101% of last year’s level, i.e. livestock farming will be provided with feed,” the specialist noted.

If we talk about products with a long shelf life and deep processing, then all enterprises in the industry are aimed at producing goods with high added value. “We are doing great. Sausages and semi-finished meat products are in demand on the domestic market,” concluded Maria Klimova.

The project was created using targeted funds for the production of national content.
