Vitebsk Concern "Meat and Dairy Products" increased exports to China by 2.5 times in 10 months

December 6, Vitebsk. Enterprises of the Vitebsk Concern Meat and Dairy Products state association increased their exports to the Chinese market by 2.5 times in January-October, BelTA learned from the concern.

According to data for 10 months, goods worth more than $11 million were shipped to partners from the Middle Kingdom. Seven enterprises included in the state association are certified for the right to supply all dairy products, frozen beef and products from it to the Chinese market. In 2021, the list of accredited suppliers was added to Postavy Dairy Plant OJSC. The Chinese market is attractive not only for its capacity, but also for its favorable market conditions. Thanks to these factors, the concern's cooperation with China is planned to be increased both by increasing the volume of deliveries and expanding the range of products supplied, experts noted.

In general, the organizations of the state association have accumulated experience of interaction with partners from more than 50 countries. The average annual volume of deliveries to foreign markets exceeds $200 million. Meat and milk processing enterprises are export-oriented, which reflects the established stable ratio of the main positions in the export structure. The largest share is occupied by cheeses, as well as canned milk, whole milk products, animal butter, skimmed milk powder , semi-finished meat products.

The assortment list of products manufactured by enterprises includes more than 870 items of dairy products and more than 1 thousand - meat products. The volume of milk processing is about 2.4 thousand tons of raw materials per day. The basis of export of meat products is formed by beef and products from it. The production capacities of beef organizations allow processing about 58 thousand tons per year. The concern is currently implementing two investment projects aimed at increasing beef processing capacities, which will expand the export potential of the association.

GO "Vitebsk Concern "Meat and Dairy Products" is one of the largest associations in Belarus of producers of meat and dairy, flour and cereals, fruits and vegetables, bakery and confectionery products, animal feed, premixes, canned fish. The structure includes 142 business entities, including 9 milk processing enterprises, 4 meat-packing plants, 3 poultry farms, 111 agricultural organizations.The concern coordinates the work of seven agro-industrial associations created in the framework of the implementation of Decree No. 70 "On the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Vitebsk region."
