JSC "Semezhevo" strives for new heights

One of the best in terms of harvesting in the Kopyl region was the specialists of JSC "Semezhevo". The farm harvested an unprecedented harvest - more than 12.5 thousand tons of grain. At the same time, the start of the harvest for local farmers is perhaps one of the most difficult in the entire history of the enterprise. How the year went for OAO Semezhevo, read in our report.

Yury Tarasevich, DIRECTOR of OAO Semezhevo, has recently been in this position. The manager was appointed to the farm at the beginning of last summer - in the midst of pre-harvest preparations. There was no time for buildup, the leader admits.

“Although I have a lot of experience in the agricultural sector, including as a manager, I worked for a long time as a deputy director at one of the district enterprises,” says Yury Tarasevich. - But, of course, becoming a director is a rather serious step. I will say corny, but at work sometimes I had to almost spend the night in order for the harvesting to take place at the highest possible level.

Agrarians from Semezhevo showed an impressive result. In total, specialists of the enterprise added 12.6 thousand tons of grain to the republican loaf. And the yield (by the way, the best in the region) amounted to 58.9 centners per hectare, together with cereal crops. Without the latter, the figure exceeds 60 centners from the circle.

- Indeed, very good numbers, - continues Yuri Tarasevich. - Especially when you consider that one of the fundamental problems of the economy is not the best state of technology. Many units are over 10 years old, and their resource is gradually declining. it was this moment before the start of the harvest that bothered me the most. However, thanks to the efforts made, we were able to even surpass ourselves a little.

The second fundamental task is to ensure the safety of the harvested crop. Until this year, the enterprise operated an old grain drying complex, which did not always cope with the flow of raw materials. The previous management knew about the problem and even started the construction of a new ZSK. True, the work did not go at the pace that was expected.

- In fact, by the summer the object was not even half ready ... Of course, this is a big problem. The first thing I did when I became a director was to throw almost all the reserves into putting the complex into operation. A large part of the harvested grain was already dried at new facilities, - the manager recalls.

In Semezhevo, they relied on "yellow gold" - rapeseed. More and more of it has been sown at the enterprise in recent years. In general, the increase in the area under this crop is a common Belarusian trend. After all, it can (and brings) agrarians considerable financial resources.

– The harvest for rapeseed this year amounted to 2.4 thousand tons - more than one and a half times more than the indicators

2021. The average crop yield is almost 49 kg/ha. Rapeseed is a profitable, very profitable crop. True, only if all agrotechnical work is carried out on time. And, as we can see from the indicators, we succeeded.

Other crops are also cultivated at OAO Semezhevo. A large part of the cultivated area is occupied by beets and potatoes. As for the SUGAR root crop, this year the yield is not the highest - about 300 centners per hectare. However, already in the next, says the HEAD, this figure will be higher.

- The gross harvest was at the level of 25 thousand tons. Not a bad result, but you need to strive for the best. Next year we want to add at least one hundred centners to the yield. We are quite capable of such a task. We send all the beets to neighboring Slutsk, where there is a specialized processing plant.

The main revenue, like many enterprises, in OAO "Semezhevo" is obtained through the processing of MILK. In total, the farm has more than 1.2 thousand head of dairy herd. The enterprise sends all products of the industry to the Slutsk cheese-making plant.

- Milk is our most profitable, but at the same time, a problem area in some details. In general, the gross milk yield is 24 tons of milk. But we want to reach the bar of 25 tons. And this is at least. This is now the priority task, - the leader brings up to date.

At the same time, this year the figures are slightly lower. What is the reason? Not the best quality feed.

- Namely, the indicators of milk yield depend on this. Last year, this task was not carried out in the best possible way. This year we are making up for lost time, - added Yuri Tarasevich.

A lot of specialists work on a dairy farm. Among them is Viktor Sergeychik, who is in charge of one of the MTF sections. The specialist says that animals should be treated with due attention. It is then, along with compliance with all the rules, that you can count on a good result.

“Of course, the work is hard. All day you need to be on the alert, because cows are very gentle and demanding animals. We try to make their stay on the farm comfortable, - the specialist emphasizes.

Mechanizer Pavel Panteleyko is engaged in the delivery of feed around the farm. The man has been working on the farm for many years.

– At first glance, the work does not seem so difficult, but at the same time it is very important. And given the small size of the farm, we must carefully drive in and pour out the feed for the animals. Of course, it's not easy. We have to work at any time of the year, regardless of the weather - the cows must eat according to the schedule, - the farmer notes.

In winter, life in the agricultural sector does not stop. On the contrary: in some aspects of the work is added. Generally speaking, the main task facing the specialists is to do everything possible to prepare the enterprise's capacities for the beginning of spring field work.

- Of course, the "first violin" in this case is the renewal of technology. I have already mentioned that this is one of the pain points of our enterprise. We will focus our efforts on its purchase, modernization, and we will pay tribute to other measures that will allow us to make our work even more efficient and profitable. After all, that's what we're aiming for.

There are also plans to increase the dairy herd. As a result, milk production will increase. Right now, a new dairy complex is being built in Semezhevo, designed for the simultaneous maintenance of 800 animals.

- As in the case of the grain drying complex, the construction of the MTF began under the previous leadership, but for one reason or another it stalled. We have intensified this process, now large-scale work is underway to build the complex. We plan that next year we will make the first milking there. This means that we will increase milk yield and be able to earn more money, - says Yury Tarasevich.

In general, despite the remoteness from large cities, Semezhevo OJSC has quite good prospects.

– We have a good, close-knit team that can, knows how and, most importantly, loves to work. There is no need to give people excessive motivation. Everyone understands the importance of work. In addition, nature has rewarded us with fertile lands. And with due effort, as practice shows, this gives a good result.

Favorable weather is expected from Semezhevo OJSC from the next season. Everything else, the director is sure, local farmers can do.

- After all, it is the weather that determines a significant part of the final result. If it is good, then we will harvest at least no worse. In the meantime, we will continue to prepare for the sowing campaign, - Yuriy Tarasevich concluded.

The specialists of the enterprise successfully completed the autumn field work, finishing the sowing of winter crops on time. In total, more than 2 thousand hectares were sown.

This year Semezhevo made a special bet on the supply of feed. Indeed, thanks to high-quality feed, it is possible to increase indicators in the dairy and MEAT direction. In total, as Yury Tarasevich noted, more than 22,000 tons of silage and 21,000 tons of haylage were laid in the silo-haylage trenches. This will provide cattle with feed for at least a year and a half.

– Previously, this issue was very acute for our company. Now, thanks to good work, we were able to significantly increase the stocks of green mass. I am sure that this will have a positive impact on the weight gain and indicators of the dairy business,” says the director of the enterprise.

In total, JSC "Semezhevo", in addition to the dairy herd, contains about 3.8 thousand heads of cattle. Up to 200 animals are sent for processing every month, in particular, to the Stolbtsovsky meat-packing plant.

The farm has a fairly high average salary. Local agrarians receive about 1.3 thousand rubles "on hand", and specialists of a narrow profile can earn many times more. There is also strong trade union support. Young specialists also come to the enterprise. They are provided with housing whenever possible. In the future, the farm plans to resume the practice of building its own square meters.

JSC "Semezhevo" has a large auto-tractor park. Farmers have at their disposal more than 40 tractors (including power-packed ones), over 20 machines, as well as 12 combines of various configurations - from grain harvesters to potato harvesters.
